My first encounter with Spirulina was when I decided to use as supplement for my family. The effect was not very noticeable (at first).
One day my brother was admitted to the hospital due to unexplained illness. The doctor suspected of a heart problem, or maybe dengue or typhoid fever. He was tested for platelet count and it appears that it is not within normal level (so it was probably dengue).
After knowing it, I remember that Spirulina could bring wonders to the immune system and I heard from a friend that similar case happened to his neighbor (and the dengue was cured). I decided to apply the same method based on what I learned and let my brother take a whole bottle in one day.
The next day when he was tested again for platelet count, the doctor was surprised that it is now within normal level. It's very uncommon that platelet level instantly goes to normal level.
